Princeton finished eighth in the final ECAC regular season standings and will host ninth-place Harvard in the opening round. The Tigers earned the right to play the series at home with a win on Saturday over Brown, coupled with Harvard's loss at St. Lawrence. Princeton is hosting an ECAC playoff series for the fourth straight season.
Princeton took three of four points from its ECAC and Ivy rival in the regular season. The teams tied 3-3 at Baker Rink in November and the Tigers skated away with a 2-1 win in Cambridge in late January. The teams have not met in the postseason since the 2008 ECAC Championship game, a 4-1 Princeton win, and last met in a playoff series at the end of the 1992-93 season.
