Women's Lacrosse Takes on No. 7 Dartmouth on Senior Day

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/23/10) - The Princeton women's lacrosse team will play its final game of the regular season on Sunday, April 25 when its hosts Dartmouth at 1 p.m. It will be Senior Day for seniors Kristin Morrison, Sarah Vance, Jenna Washabaugh and Kaitlyn Perrelle. Princeton will also be honoring its former captains during a special halftime ceremony.
The game will be webstreamed on GoPrincetonTigers.tv for subscribers, and live audio and stats will be available free of charge.
Princeton is 20-16 in the all-time series with Dartmouth, which began in 1980. The Tigers won last year's meeting 14-4 and are 2-3 in the last five contests. The Big Green have won the last two games in Princeton with the Tigers last earning a win over the Big Green at home in 2004, a 6-5 overtime victory.
Princeton is 5-9 overall and 3-3 in the Ivy League. The Tigers are looking to end a three-game losing skid and secure a berth to the first Ivy League Tournament by defeating Dartmouth. Junior Lizzy Drumm is the team's leading scorer with 28 goals and nine assists for 37 points. Senior Kristin Morrison is right behind her with 36 points on 23 goals and a team-best 13 assists. Sophomores Cassie Pyle and Barb Previ each have 22 points. Junior Erin Tochihara has started all 14 games and has made 113 saves on 236 shots for a 10.67 goals against average and a .479 save percentage.
Dartmouth is 10-2 entering its final regular-season game of the season and is ranked No. 7 in the national rankings. With a 5-1 Ivy League record, the Big Green have secured a place in the first Ivy League Tournament. Greta Meyer leads the team in scoring with 48 points on 27 goals and 21 assists. Sarah Parks has 28 goals and seven assists for 35 points and Sarah Plumb has 30 points on 19 goals and 11 assists. Julie Wadland has started all 12 games in goal for the Big Green and has made 73 saves on 153 shots for a 6.95 goals against average and a .477 save percentage. Her goals against average is the best in the nation and Dartmouth's overall 6.64 goals against is also tops in the country.
