Four Tigers Named All-Ivy League in Women's Lacrosse

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/27/10) - Four members of the Princeton women's lacrosse team were named All-Ivy League it was announced by the league office on Tuesday, April 27.
Sophomore defender Lindsey deButts was an unanimous first-team selection, earning her first Ivy League honor. Junior Lizzy Drumm was also named to the first team. Junior Erin Tochihara was named second-team all-league and senior Kristin Morrison was an honorable mention selection.
deButts has started all 15 games this season as the Tigers' defensive mainstay. She leads the team in ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls. She has won 37 draws, caused 23 turnovers and picked up 34 ground balls. In addition she scored her first collegiate goal this season at Georgetown and an assist against Maryland.
An honorable mention pick last season, Drumm is Princeton's leading scorer with 30 goals and nine assist for 39 points. She adds 21 draw controls, 14 ground balls and five caused turnovers. A second-team all-region selection last season, Drumm is one of Princeton's team captains this year. Highlighting her play this year was a six-goal game against James Madison, where she finished with seven points and a career-best four draw controls. Drumm has scored in 11 games this season and has posted 10 multiple-point games.
Tochihara is earning second-team accolades for the second straight season. A second-team All-America and first-team all region selection in 2009, Tochihara has started all 15 games between the pipes for the Tigers this season. She has made 127 saves on 260 shots for a .488 save percentage and a 10.53 goals against average. Tochihara stopped a season-best 14 shots against Maryland and Dartmouth. She posted a career best GAA of 2.00 versus Yale earlier in the season and was named the Defensive Player of the Week on March 1 after making 12 saves, four on free-position attempts, in an overtime win over Johns Hopkins. In addition she has 33 ground balls this season and caused one turnover.
Morrison leads the team in assists with 13 and adds 23 goals for 36 points, the second most on the team. She has started all 15 games and has 23 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers and eight draw controls as one of the team's captains. Morrison was named the Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week on March 1 after scoring the overtime goal in a 10-9 win over Johns Hopkins. She has scored in 14 games this season and recently had a 17-game point scoring streak halted. Morrison recorded 11 multiple-point games including a five-point game at Hopkins.
Princeton will play Penn in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals on Friday, April 30 at 7 p.m., at Franklin Field.
