Women's Lacrosse Hosts Yale on Friends of Jaclyn Day

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/8/10) - The Princeton women's lacrosse teams hosts Yale on Saturday, April 10 at 1 p.m., at Princeton Stadium. The match up will coincide with the team's second annual Friends of Jaclyn Day.
The game will be televised on a tape delay regionally on Verizon FiOS1 and will be webstreamed on GoPrincetonTigers.tv for subscribers. Live audio and live stats will also be available free of charge.
The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (FOJ) was created to improve the quality of life for children suffering from pediatric brain tumors. FOJ pairs a child with a college team so that the child can be involved with the team as much as possible as an honorary member of the team. Princeton's adopted team member is Krysten Petrowski of West Milford, N.J.
Princeton holds a 21-14-1 advantage in the all-time series with Yale that dates back to 1975. The Tigers are 13-5 when playing at home against the Bulldogs and have won the last two meetings including a 15-6 game last season. Yale's last win in the series came in 2007, a 6-5 game in New Haven.
Princeton is 4-6 entering the weekend after a tough 11-8 loss to Cornell one week ago. The Tigers are searching for their first win at their new home, Princeton Stadium, after going 0-5 thus far in the season. Princeton is 2-1 in the Ivy League and is in third place in the standings. Junior Lizzy Drumm has scored 26 goals and seven assists for 33 points. Senior Kristin Morrison has 24 points on 16 goals and eight assists while sophomore Barb Previ has a team-leading nine assists and 11 goals for 20 points. Junior Erin Tochihara has started in net for all 10 games and has a 4-6 record. She has made 78 saves on 171 shots for a 11.14 goals against average and a .456 save percentage. Senior Kaitlyn Perrelle has seen over 100 minutes of action in six games and has made 14 stops on 32 shots for an 8.77 GAA and a .438 save percentage.
Yale is 5-6 overall and won its last game a 17-13 victory over Harvard on April 3. The Bulldogs are 2-2 in the league to sit in fourth place in the standings along with Cornell. Freshman Devon Rhodes leads the team in scoring with 24 goals and seven assists for 31 points. Senior Jenna Block has a team-best 13 assists and eight goals for 21 points. Junior Kaitlyn Flately adds 17 points on 16 goals and one assist, while senior Jessica Sturgill and sophomore Caroline Crow have 14 points apiece. Sophomore Whitney Quackenbush has played every single minute in net for the Bulldogs. She has made 108 saves on 215 shots for a 9.73 goals against average and a .502 save percentage.
Princeton and Yale both played James Madison and Brown. The Tigers
fell 13-12 in overtime to James Madison while the Bulldogs dropped a
10-4 game. Both teams defeated Brown, Princeton winning 16-6 and Yale
taking an 8-7 game.
