Dixit, Wolfe Score in Sprint Football Loss to Army
October 08, 2011 | Sprint Football
Atraya Dixit and John Wolfe scored touchdowns for the Princeton sprint football team Friday night on Powers Field at Princeton Stadium, but Army controlled throughout in a 57-13 Black Knights win.
Army led 29-0 when, deep in their own end in the waning minutes of the opening half, Black Knights quarterback Javier Sustaita tried to throw the ball away in order to avoid a safety. Instead, Dixit caught it on the fly at the Army seven yard line and charged in for the touchdown.
Princeton's second touchdown came in the third quarter when Wolfe caught a three-yard pass from Tiger quarterback Jaison Zachariah to cap a drive that made it 43-13.
Army (2-1, 2-0 CSFL) led in total yards of offense 478-214, gaining 345 of it in the air. Individually, Zachariah threw for 197 yards and Nicolas Lulli led all Tiger targets with 93 receiving yards.
Princeton (0-4, 0-3 CSFL) will take to the road next Friday at Post University in Connecticut.
