Feb. 17 TigerCast: Austin Hollimon, Jackie Moss and Chris Bates
February 17, 2011 | General, Men's Lacrosse, Men's Track and Field, Women's Squash
Junior sprinter Austin Hollimon, senior squash co-captain Jackie Moss and men's lacrosse head coach Chris Bates joined the latest edition of TigerCast.
Hollimon has already had a brilliant winter, including record-setting performances in both individual and relay events. He and his teammates are one week away from attempting to defend their 2010 indoor Heptagonal title, and Hollimon discusses the excitement of the championship weekend and how he and his teammates have prepared for the coming weekend.
Moss is in the middle of her best season, an impressive feat considering she played No. 3 for a pair of national championship teams. Moss went 12-1 on the season and is the leader of a women's squash team seeded fifth for the Howe Cup national championships, which begin at the Jadwin Squash Courts Friday at 2. Moss talks about the excitement and advantage of playing nationals at Jadwin, where she was part of her first championship team.
Bates is in his second season as the head coach of Princeton, which has been ranked in the national Top 10 in various preseason polls. With depth at each position and one of the toughest defenses in the nation, there is plenty of reason to be excited about the upcoming season, and Bates gives a preview and his views on the improved Ivy League and a tough early-season schedule.
