Maryland Tops Women's Tennis, 5-2

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland defeated the Princeton women's tennis team 5-2 Saturday afternoon in another battle of ranked teams.
The Terrapins are the seventh ITA-ranked team the Tigers have faced this season in their 12 matches. No. 56 Princeton now stands at 6-6 on the season, while the 43rd-ranked Terps improved to 8-2.
Monica Chow and Katherine Flanigan accounted for Princeton's points as the pair combined to win at second doubles as well as individual victories at fourth and fifth singles, respectively.
Maryland won the doubles point and the first singles match to be decided on court three, but Princeton tied it up with Chow's and Flanigan's points. The Terrapins won the next three to seal the team victory.
The Tigers will be off from competition until their spring break trip to San Diego, Calif., to face the University of San Diego and the University of Hawaii.
