No. 9 Ohio State Sweeps Men's Volleyball To Complete Weekend Pair
April 09, 2011 | Men's Volleyball
One day after nearly pulling off a huge upset over the ninth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, the Princeton men's volleyball team fell 3-0 to Ohio State during the Buckeyes Senior Day in Columbus.
Senior Vincent Tuminelli led Princeton with 12 kills and nine digs, while sophomore Michael Dye added seven kills and a pair of blocks. Sophomore Scott Liljestrom led the offense with 22 assists, while libero Davis Waddell had five digs in the match.
Princeton, which rallied out of a 2-0 hole to win a pair of 25-22 games in the Friday night 3-2 loss at Ohio State, simply could not get a lead beyond the first few points of the match. Ohio State didn't let Princeton get a mid-match run and won its 20th match 25-18, 25-20, 25-12.
Princeton will complete its Tait Division schedule Friday night at George Mason.
