May 11, 2011 | Women's Lacrosse
PRINCETON, N.J. (5/12/10) - The Princeton women's lacrosse team held its annual team banquet on Tuesday, May 10 at Prospect House on campus.
The banquet started with the presentation of the two team awards.
The Emily Goodfellow Award was given to senior Lizzy Drumm. It is awarded annually to that upperclass player who by distinguishing herself in the sport has contributed to team unity, morale and spirit and has demonstrated love of lacrosse and of Princeton. Established in 1991 by Mr. & Mrs. Thorp V. D. Goodfellow '41, parents of Emily C. Goodfellow '76, the only Princeton athlete ever to earn 12 varsity letters.
The Connie McCallister Award was presented to senior Kaitlyn Mauritz. It is awarded annually to that player who, in the image of Connie McCallister, gives all of herself to the program through participation, effort, selfless dedication, enthusiasm and heart. This award is given in memory of Connie McCallister, loyal supporter and ardent fan of Princeton women's lacrosse, by the teammates and friends of her daughter, Brent McCallister '98.
After a brief speech from head coach Chris Sailer, seniors Caroline Markowitz, Maisie Devine, Erin Tochihara, Drumm and Mauritz received their seniors gifts and Drumm spoke on behalf of the Class of 2011.
Sailer was presented with a gift, put together by Jean Drumm, a memory book of letters from former Princeton women's lacrosse players as Sailer celebrates her 25th year of coaching.
Capping off the banquet was the annual senior video.
