Women's Lacrosse Ranked No. 9 in Final IWLCA Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. (6/9/11) - The Princeton women's lacrosse team concludes the 2011 season ranked No. 9 in the IWLCA Division I Final Poll of the year, that was released on Wednesday, June 6.
The Tigers are the highest ranked Ivy League team, ahead of Penn, Dartmouth and Harvard.
The 2011 Ivy League Tournament Champion Princeton found its rhythm and worked its way back from a 6-10 record in 2010 to a stunning 12-7 record and an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Tigers upset top-seeded Penn in the Ivy League semifinals and topped Harvard in the championship game. The Tigers knocked off eighth-seeded James Madison on the road in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to the national runner up Maryland.
Three players earned IWLCA All-America honors, six were named all-region, five were named to the Ivy League All-Tournament team, five garnered All-Ivy League accolades and two were on the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List.
