Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) History: Men's Lightweight
July 13, 2011 | Men's Rowing - Lightweight
The men's lightweights have competed for the national championship at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association regatta since 1990. From 1986-1989, there was a separate national championship regatta for the men's lightweights.
When nationals were moved to the IRAs, the crews competed for The 1922 Trophy, which commemorates the origin of men's collegiate lightweight rowing in 1922 and is presented to the winner of the men's lightweight varsity eight grand final.
