Men's Water Polo Tops Iona to Open North-South

Princeton and Iona stayed close through the first quarter but the Tigers broke the game open with seven goals in the second quarter to build a 9-5 lead at the half. Princeton did not allow a goal in the second half and added six more to reach the 15-4 final score.
Tim Wenzlau, Matt Weber and Thomas Nelson each added two goals in the win, while Mike Helou contributed a team-leading four assists. Nelson and Kurt Buchbinder each had three steals. Tyler Amina made five saves in three quarters for the win.
Princeton will play and exhibition game against the North Virginia Club and then meet Connecticut College later on Sunday at the North-South Invitational.
