Swimming/Diving To Honor Class Of 2012 Friday Against Columbia

In their final regular season meets of the season, the Princeton men's and women's swimming/diving teams will honor the Class of 2012 when they host Columbia Friday afternoon at Denunzio Pool.
The Princeton women (5-1, 5-1 Ivy) will open competition Friday at 2 when they take on Columbia (6-1, 4-1 Ivy), which is led by former Princeton swimmer Diana Caskey '85. The Tigers will be looking to start a new win streak after their streak of 43 straight victories was snapped last weekend at Harvard. Princeton won this meet 196-104 last season, with senior Aislinn Smalling and sophomore Rachel Zambrowicz among the individual winners for Princeton.
While they will be looking for some positive momentum heading into the Ivy League Championships (Feb. 23-25 at Harvard), the Tigers will also be honoring the 10 members of the Class of 2012. Winners of the last two Ivy League titles, Princeton has gone 26-1 in Ivy League dual meets since the start of their freshman seasons.
The women's senior class includes: Caitlin Baran, Leslie Bargmann, Megan Charles, Hannah Cody, Kerry Gruendel, Mary Killian, Christina Kirkwood, Meredith Monroe, Lauren Shanley and Aislinn Smalling.
The Princeton men (7-0, 6-0 Ivy) are coming off a sweep of H-Y-P and are ranked 24th nationally. Princeton won this meet 174.5-125.5 last season, which included a Columbia pool record by senior Jon Christensen and a diving sweep for eventual Ivy League Championships Diver of the Meet Stevie Vines.
The Tiger seniors will get another six sessions to swim at Denunzio, which will serve as host for the men's championships Mar. 1-3. The Class of 2012 us looking to become the first in two decades to win four straight Ivy League titles.
The men's senior class includes: Ryan Chiu, Jon Christensen, Robert Coe, Colin Cordes, Matt Jacobson, Matt LaMonaca, Travis McNamara, Mike Monovoukas, Alex Morrison, Adlai Pappy, Charles Wang and Tom Wells.
