Sdao Named Second-Team All-ECAC Hockey

PRINCETON (3/15/12) - Junior Michael Sdao has been named to the 2012 ECAC Hockey All-League team, it was announced by the league on Thursday, Feb. 15.
Sdao finished the season fourth on the team in scoring with 20 points in 30 games. With 10 goals, Sdao scored more goals than any other defender in the league. Fifteen of his 20 points came during league play, which is the fourth-highest point total of all defenders in ECAC Hockey.
The assistant captain has had three multiple-point games this season, highlighted by a three-point at Brown in which he scored the game winner in a 3-2 overtime victory. The All-Ivy League selection also scored twice in the playoff series at Yale last weekend.He was also a finalist for the league's Best Defensive Defenseman award.
As a team Princeton was a finalist for the SKOR Sports Trophy, presented to the ECAC team that the league coaches believe reflect the values of both ECAC Hockey and SKOR sports. The defining characteristics of the recipient of this award are sportsmanship, tenacity, commitment and innovation.
