No. 6 Miami Defeats 65th-Ranked Women's Tennis 6-1

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- No. 6 Miami claimed the doubles point and took five of the six singles matches to defeat the 65th-ranked Princeton women's tennis team 6-1 Tuesday afternoon in Florida.
Katie Goepel picked up Princeton's point in a tiebreak-format third set, winning 6-4, 4-6, 10-8. The Tigers also won one of the three doubles matches as 29th-ranked Hilary Bartlett and Lindsay Graff prevailed in a battle of ranked opponents, defeating 28th-ranked Melissa Bolivar and Liat Zimmerman.
The match was Princeton's only competition on the spring trip and Princeton's next-to-last match before Ivy League play begins next weekend. The Tigers will host Denver next Friday, March 30, at noon.
