Men's Tennis Defeats Loyola Marymount, 5-2

LOS ANGELES -- The Princeton men's tennis team won its first match in its second try on the spring trip Wednesday, defeating Loyola Marymount 5-2.
The Tigers won the doubles point in a 9-8 match with Augie Bloom and Dan Davies on court two after Michael Lin and Yohei Shoji evened the doubles competition with a win on court three.
Princeton then won the first three singles matches to be decided to claim the team victory. Matija Pecotic, Dan Richardson and Ravi Yegya-Raman helped push the Tigers to a 4-0 lead, and Davies later won his match at third singles for a fifth team point.
Princeton will have two days away from competition in Southern California before taking on UC Irvine at 4 p.m. ET Saturday in the final match before Ivy League play begins.
