Sanner & McSherry Predicted Ivy Stars by College Sports Madness
August 21, 2012 | Men's Soccer
PRINCETON, N.J. (8/21/12) - College Sports Madness has announced its picks for the top men's soccer players in the Ivy League for the upcoming 2012 season.
Senior Matt Sanner is the projected Offensive Player of the Year while Brendan McSherry is the projected Freshman of the Year.
It is worth noting that the Ivy League only awards Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, with no separate distinction for offensive and defense player. There is also no coach of the year in the Ivy League.
Two student-athletes have been named preseason first-team all-conference, including Sanner and senior captain Mark Linnville on defense. Sophomore forward Julian Griggs was tabbed preseason second-team all-conference.
Princeton opens its season on Friday, Aug. 31 at Seton Hall.
