The 21-year-old received his invitation to the New Jersey Devils Developmental camp heading into his captaincy with the Tigers, while Ambrosia is getting ready to don the orange-and-black jerseys for his first time.
"I was excited," Berger said. "It's just a great opportunity to come up here and play with really elite level players and see what it's like to be a part of this organization."
Ambrosia, a Chatham native who has a family of Cornell legacies, had the chance to pull on a jersey of the team he's been a fan of for a "long time."
"It's definitely cool to see the rest of the facilities and be part of the organization for a week," Ambrosia said. "But other than that you try to enjoy every day and work as hard as possible, try to showcase your abilities, take it day by day.
Berger finished last season second in Princeton scoring, netting 22 points. He was also named the ECAC Player of the Week once and was a finalist for the ECAC Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year Award.
"Playing at Princeton and just the whole college level, they really make you play more responsibly and have more accountability than I have before," Berger said. "So I came in ready, knowing how hard I need to work every shift and worry about the little things every time I'm out there."
