Swim/Dive Nearly Doubles Money Raised In '13 Collegians For The Cure
October 02, 2013 | Women's Swimming and Diving
The Princeton women's swimming and diving team once again proved to be champions out of the water, just as much as it is inside of DeNunzio Pool. Princeton raised more than $4,200 during the 2013 Collegians For The Cure 5K on Sept. 21.
The final total nearly doubled the amount Princeton raised in 2012 ($2,200). The Tigers appreciated the efforts by several other teams on campus, including men's swimming and diving, women's squash, softball, both men's and women's lacrosse, women's water polo, men's volleyball and men's lightweight rowing.
"On behalf of the Women's Swimming and Diving Team, I would like to sincerely thank all those who participated in this year's Collegians for the Cure 5k Run/Walk," senior Julia Festa said. "Additionally, we would like to thank the Princeton Varsity Club as without their support and guidance Collegians would not have been as successful as it was. We are truly blessed to have such supportive classmates, families, and friends here at Princeton and we hope that we will continue to build on Collegian's success in the future."
