PRINCETON, N.J. (11/6/13) - No game this season has been as climatic as this Saturday's game at Penn for the Princeton men's soccer team. With both teams tied for second place and the Ivy League title still at large, it will be a battle on Rhodes Field as the team's kick off at 4 p.m.
Harvard, which holds a two-point lead in the standings travels to Columbia for a 7 p.m., game.
Penn holds a slim 48-43-10 lead in the 98-year series history. Princeton won the last game a 3-0 win at home and is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings.
Princeton is 6-8-1 overall and coming off of a loss to American in the team's final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday night. Junior Cameron Porter and sophomore Thomas Sanner are tied atop the scoring column with 15 points each. Sanner has seven goals and one assist, while Porter has six goals and three assists. Sophomore Nico Hurtado has two goals and two assists, and classmate Brendan McSherry has five points on one goal and three assists. Senior Patrick O'Neil chips in four points. Senior Seth MacMillan has played in all but two games in goal. He has a 1.58 goals against average with two shutouts and a .618 save percentage.
Penn is 6-8-1 overall and most recently lost a double overtime game at Brown last Saturday. The Quakers final Ivy League game of the season will be at Harvard on Nov. 16. Duke Lacroix leads the team offensively with seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Alec Neumann has four goals and four assists for 12 points. Stephen Baker and Sam Hayward add nine and eight points, respecitvely. Louis Schott and Jonny Dolezal each have six points. Tyler Kinn has started in 13 of 15 games in goal. He has a 1.53 GAA with four shutouts and a .744 save percentage.
