WASHINGTON (4/11/13) - Sophomore Erin McMunn of the Princeton women's lacrosse team has been named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, the Tewaaraton Foundation announced today.
McMunn leads the Ivy League in scoring with 28 goals and 21 assists for 49 points. Her 4.5 points per game ranks her 13th in the nation in scoring. In addition, McMunn is second on the team in draw controls with 26. She has twice been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week this year.
The Westminster, Md., native has had a number of record-setting moments this year including: nine draw controls at Maryland (second most in a game in school history) and a nine-point game (6-3-9) vs. Columbia (fourth all-time in points per game).
McMunn is riding an 15-game scoring streak that dates back to last season, as she has scored in every game this year.
Currently in her career, McMunn has 46 goals and 51 assists in 26 games. In addition to 35 draw controls, 25 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.
The Tewaaraton list will be narrowed to 25 nominees on April 26.
