Nov. 6 TigerCast: Steve Totten, Ron Fogarty and Caraun Reid '14

With the transition between the fall and winter seasons underway, TigerCast features teams from both seasons, as well as a former Tiger great now playing on Sundays. Men's soccer assistant coach Steve Totten, men's ice hockey head coach Ron Fogarty and former Ivy football standout — and current Detroit Lion — Caraun Reid join the latest edition of TigerCast.
The Princeton men's soccer team has won three straight games, including a 2-0 win over American Wednesday afternoon, is currently tied with Dartmouth for first place in the Ivy League. Princeton, the top-scoring team in the Ivy League, hosts Penn Saturday at 7 pm on the Ivy League Digital Network with the opportunity to clinch at least a share of the league title with a win and a Dartmouth loss (the Big Green play at Cornell).
Ron Fogarty built a Division III powerhouse at Adrian College, where he went 167-23-10 over seven years. He made his Princeton debut last weekend at the Liberty Hockey Invitational, where the Tigers went 0-1-1. ECAC play opens this weekend at Baker Rink, where Princeton will host both Cornell and Colgate; the latter is the Fogarty's alma mater.
Caraun Reid spent fall Saturdays causing havoc in opposing backfields, but Sundays have become his football days now. A fifth-round draft choice of the Detroit Lions last spring, Reid has seen solid playing time for the first-place team in the NFC North. He returned to campus last week during Detroit's bye, and talked about life in the NFL, the loaded Detroit defensive line, and what Princeton football still means to him.
