Sprint Football to Close Out Season Against Post

LAST TIME OUT
Due to a limited number of active players, Princeton forfeited last week's game against Penn to fall to 0-6 on the season. Friday's match-up against Post will be the Tigers' first since a 67-0 loss to Mansfield on Oct. 25. Held to just 86 yards of total offense, Princeton surrendered 510 yards to the Mountaineers, who picked up their first win of the season.
Emanuel Castaneda led the Tigers with 31 rushing yards on eight carries (3.9 ypc), while Chad Cowden completed nine of his 33 pass attempts for 89 yards and four interceptions. Patrick Yu had four catches for 45 yards while Ahmed Musse made a pair of receptions for 35 yards.
Defensively, Adam Grabowski led Princeton with a game-high 8.5 tackles, including three for a loss. Richard Freling had eight stops while Dan Paolillo also had eight tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.
SENIOR DAY
Friday's contest will be the last for the Class of 2015. As part of the Tigers' Senior Day festivities, Bob Dougherty, Kyle Douglas, Spencer Haldeman, Abe Kielar, Josh Lyman, Chris McCord, Dan Paolillo, Mulay Sarbanes and Patrick Valent will be honored prior to the start of the game.
DÉJÀ VU
Princeton was originally scheduled to host Post University in what would have been its home opener on Friday, Sept. 26. Due to a limited number of active players, the Tigers postponed the contest until Nov. 7.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Post is 4-0 all-time against Princeton. Winning the inaugural meeting in 2010 by a score of 33-18, the Eagles prevailed in the following year's rematch, 48-0. In 2012, Post narrowly escaped with a 32-29 overtime win at Princeton before taking last year's showdown, 54-14.
LAST MEETING
Up 21-0 in the first quarter and 41-8 at the half, Post cruised to a 54-14 victory in Waterbury, Conn. last season. Rushing for 240 yards, the Eagles finished with 409 yards of total offense. Greg Volpe threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 61 yards and a score.
Princeton's Chad Cowden completed 16-of-29 pass attempts for 100 yards and a touchdown, while Bob Dougherty went 6-for-10 for 116 yards and a TD. Alex Momenee and A.J. Sibley combined for 87 yards on the ground, while Chris McCord made eight receptions for 73 yards. Sibley led the defense with eight tackles (7 solo).
SCOUTING POST
Coming off of a 17-10 double-overtime loss to Franklin Pierce, Post enters Friday's showdown with a 3-3 overall record. Quarterback Greg Volpe was 11-for-27 for 149 yards and a touchdown, while Jarrick Sharp had three catches for 47 yards. Jay'Len Mahan made four receptions for 34 yards, while Leslie Morgan and Joseph Lynch combined for 57 rushing yards on 14 carries.
On the season, Volpe has completed 64 of his 130 pass attempts for 899 yards (149.8 ypg), six touchdowns and two interceptions. Mahan has caught a team-high 23 balls for 395 yards (65.8 ypg) and four scores, while Sharp has 14 receptions for 160 yards (26.7 ypg). Lynch leads the team in rushing with 394 yards on 109 touches (65.7 ypg).
On the defensive side of the ball, Chris Leggio has made a squad-best 31.5 tackles, while John Cohen has 28.5 stops, including 8.5 for a loss. Anthony Jamele has also made 8.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage with a team-high four sacks.
