Coach Billy Pate on the match: "I'm very proud of our effort and fight this weekend. For us to have chances against great opponents with two practices outdoors beforehand was encouraging. Today was another match where we had our chances. We lost a close doubles point and had to rally from behind the whole match. Mississippi State is another top-20 team and our guys are realizing the need to capitalize on opportunities against these experienced teams. However, this tournament, and the three matches we played, were tremendous learning opportunities for us. We are already an improved team and these tough matches will undoubtedly help us the rest of the spring." |
