Coach Billy Pate on the match: "This was an exciting college tennis match and certainly had it's share of momentum swings. It was great to have a such a loud, supportive home crowd. We had our opportunities to secure the doubles point but didn't capitalize on five match points. That put us in a tough position and we really had to dig deep to get the win. Augie (Bloom) and Josh (Yablon) were clutch in the third set and really did a good job of getting us over the finish line. I give a lot of credit to Marquette because they are a good team and really came to play. We need to rest be ready for a new challenge tomorrow with a doubleheader." |
