Coach Billy Pate on the match: "Compared to yesterday, I was pleased with our energy and attitude in doubles. However, I felt like we really needed that point in today's match. Had we finished singles, we clearly had good chances to win at No. 1, 4 and 5. We needed another surge from someone and simply didn't turn the corner. Purdue is a good team with loads of experience and I think our youth showed at times today. Nonetheless, this was a great experience for us and the three tough matches here will benefit us heading into the Ivy season next weekend." |
