| Match notes: Princeton had to battle back in singles play, losing five of the six first sets ... Zack McCourt trailed 0-2 in his third set, winning six of the last seven games, and Tom Colautti trailed 1-4, winning five straight games to claim the clinching point ... Princeton has now won five in a row against Brown with the Bears' last win in the series coming in 2009. |

Coach Billy Pate on the match: "It was an exciting college tennis match today and it was quite similar to last year's match at Brown where we had to rally for a 4-3 win. Today was even more of a hurdle as we had to overcome being down a break in the third sets at both No. 1 and No. 3 singles. Tom (Colautti) showed a great deal of resolve in fighting back from 1-4 to secure the 6-4 win. He had a similar situation with a match earlier in the season and we talked about how that would benefit him next time he was in that position. Brown played a great match and clearly put our backs against the wall, but I'm proud of how we found a way to get the job done." |
