Sanner Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. (9/29/14) - Princeton's Thomas Sanner was named the Ivy League Men's Soccer Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday, Sept. 29.
Sanner scored both game-winning goals as Princeton went 2-0 recording back-to-back shutouts this week.
The Tigers defeated Drexel on the road 1-0 on Wednesday, thanks to Sanner's penalty kick. He was dragged down inside the 18-yard box and was awarded a penalty kick which he then converted.
On Sunday, Sanner ended a scoreless deadlock in the 64th minute with his fourth goal of the season. Princeton went on to defeat Binghamton 2-0.Sanner enters league play this weekend having scored a goal in four of his last five matches. He ranks second in goals in the league with four and is fith in the league in points with nine.
Princeton begins its Ivy League season on Saturday, Oct. 4 when it hosts Dartmouth at 4 p.m.
