Porter Wins College Boot Supporter's Choice Award

PRINCETON, N.J. (1/7/15) - Princeton senior forward Cameron Porter has been selected as the winner of the College Boot Supporter's Choice award, it was announced by Soccer News Net.
Porter received the most votes from soccer fans in the annual Soccer News Net poll recognizing the national player of the year. Of the 25 players that were on the ballot, Porter recevied 47 percent of the votes, with the next highest being Oregon State's Khiry Shelton's 19 percent.
Fan voting accounts for 40 percent of the total toward selection of the Soccer News Net Men's College Boot. Winners of the Soccer News Net College Boot will be announced next week.
Porter led the Ivy League in goals (15) and points (34) overall, totals that left him tied for the NCAA lead in goals and second in the nation in total points, one point behind North Carolina's Andy Craven, who played five more games. In eight Ivy matches, Porter had a League-best seven goals and one assist for 15 points. He closed out the season scoring in nine of the last 10 matches, including seven of eight in Ivy play.
