Phinney Named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. (2/17/15) - Princeton sophomore Colton Phinney was named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week and the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Feb. 15.
Phinney led the ECAC Hockey league in saves this weekend as Princeton went 1-0-1. The Tigers earned a 2-1 win over Clarkson on Friday night, with Phinney making 28 stops en route to the victory. On Saturday, the team skated to a 1-1 tie with No. 20 St. Lawrence with Phinney backstopping the team with 34 saves.
For the week he stopped a total of 62 shots and finished with a .969 save percentage and a 0.96 goals against average.
The Tigers host Brown and Yale this weekend, Feb. 20 & 21, the final home games of the 2014-15 season.
