Women's Tennis Sweeps Rutgers

Princeton's women's tennis team took full advantage of its lone home non-conference match of the season, sweeping Rutgers 7-0 Tuesday night in Jadwin Gym.
The win brings Princeton's record to 2-5 on the year, Princeton's second straight win after facing five straight fellow ITA-ranked teams to start the season.
Eight Tigers contributed to the win and none of the three doubles teams gave up more than four games in sweeping the match's first point. Princeton then went on to sweep all six first sets in singles and win five of the matches in straight sets before completing the sweep with Caroline Joyce's tiebreaker win on court five.
Lindsay Graff, Alanna Wolff, Amanda Muliawan and Dorothy Tang were winners in both singles and doubles, while Katrine Steffensen and Joan Cannon contributed to doubles wins and Katie Goepel and Joyce were singles winners.
Princeton will have a quick turnaround before its next match, heading to Alabama to compete in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery beginning Friday at 9 a.m. ET against 49th-ranked DePaul. Alabama, Boise State, Ohio State, Texas Tech, Tulane and Yale are potential opponents for Princeton Saturday or Sunday.
