McMunn and Slifer Named to Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List

NEW YORK (2/26/15) - Seniors Erin McMunn and Erin Slifer of the Princeton women's lacrosse team have been named to the 2015 Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List it was announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday evening.
The lists include the top 50 players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the 2015 Tewaaraton Award, presented by Under Armour.McMunn is making her third appearance on the Watch List. The two-time Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America has led the Tigers in scoring the last two seasons. Last year, McMunn finished with 57 points on 44 goals and13 assists and scored her 100th career goal. She currently ranks eighth all-time at Princeton with 180 points on 105 goals and 75 assists. McMunn is six assists away from becoming Princeton's all-time assist leader.
Slifer was named first-team All-Ivy and second-team all-region last year. She was second on the team in scoring with 52 points on a team-high 24 assists and 28 goals and scored her 100th career point in May. Slifer was second on the team in draw controls with 32, while adding 14 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. Two games into the 2015 season, Slifer leads the Tigers in scoring with six goals and two assists. She was named the Inside Lacrosse National Player of the Week, the Baltimore Sun National Player of the Week and the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week this past week.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
