February 07, 2015 | Men's Tennis

Eleven Tigers took part in the doubleheader and all 11 had a win, whether in singles or doubles. Zack McCourt picked up a win over a ranked opponent, defeating Bucknell's 114th-ranked Nick Bybel in straight sets on court one in Saturday's opener.
The doubleheader concluded a three-match weekend for Princeton in Jadwin, which began Friday with a win over William & Mary. Princeton will now head to Harvard to begin the ECAC Championship Friday. Pairings for that tournament will be announced early this week.

Coach Billy Pate on the match: "Furman played inspired tennis today and really pushed us. I give them a lot of credit as they are well coached and have a lot of good athletes that played well today indoors. I'm proud of our team for weathering th storm and being gritty down the stretch to secure the win. It's always tough for the second match of the day, but we are deep and want our guys getting as many reps as they can. It was positive to come out of this short homestand 5-0 and we'll immediately turn our focus to the ECAC starting Friday at Harvard." |
