Becker DeCecco '03 Inducted into Lacrosse Hall of Fame

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. (2/7/15) - Princeton women's lacrosse alumna Rachael Becker DeCecco '03 was inducted into the Philadelphia/Eastern Philadelphia Lacrosse Hall of Fame, a chapter of the National Hall of Fame this evening in Lafayette Hill, Pa.
Becker is arguably the greatest women's lacrosse player in Princeton history.
She won the 2003 Tewaaraton Trophy and Honda Award for lacrosse, and she was a Honda-Broderick Award finalist for the outstanding female athlete in all of college sports. She was named national defensive Player of the Year in 2002 and 2003. She also earned Academic All-America honors in 2002.
Becker's presence helped Princeton win the 2002 and 2003 NCAA championships, and she was named the 2003 NCAA tournament MVP and Ivy League Player of the Year. She was a three-time first-team All-America selection, as well as a three-time All-Ivy and All-Region selection.
Becker also earned second-team Regional All-America honors in field hockey, as well as being named to the National Academic Team.
In all, Becker won seven Ivy League championships between lacrosse and field hockey at Princeton.
