As they both begin their NCAA Championship journeys, women's basketball head coach Courtney Banghart and EIWA finalist Chris Perez join the latest edition of TigerCast.
Banghart, recently named a finalist for the 2015 Naismith Women's Basketball Coach of the Year, guided Princeton to a 30-0 record this season, the Tigers' fifth Ivy title in the last six years and another trip to the NCAA tournament. Princeton will take on Green Bay Saturday morning in Maryland on ESPN2. Banghart reflects on the journey, the improvements over the last two months, and what it took to produce such a magical season.
Perez is a junior who has dealt with significant injuries on the mat and multiple tragedies off it, but his dedication and persistence has landed him in his first NCAA Championships, which begin Thursday at noon on ESPN3/WatchESPN. Perez knocked off two NCAA qualifiers on his way to the EIWA final, and he is part of a program-record five Tigers who will compete today at NCAAs.
