Slifer Named Select Sector SPDR National Player of the Week

For the second time this season, Princeton's Erin Slifer is the Select Sector SPDR National Player of the Week. Slifer was also named the Corvias ECAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
The senior captain led the Tigers to a 2-0 week, as Princeton knocked off No. 11/16 Penn State followed by a win over Harvard to improve to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the Ivy League. Slifer had a 10-point week en route to being named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week as well.
Against the Nittany Lions, Slifer led the Tigers with four goals, in addition to picking up two ground balls, one draw control and causing one turnover. On Saturday, she had a game-high six points on four goals and two assists, while picking up a pair of ground balls and one draw control.
Princeton remains No. 13 in this week's Inside Lacrosse national poll and moved up two places in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll to No. 11.
The Tigers host Cal on Wednesday night, March 28 at 7 p.m., on Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
