Women's Tennis Tops Penn in Ivy Opener

After a successful spring trip to California put Princeton back in the ITA women's tennis rankings, the Tigers followed the recognition with a 6-1 win over Penn Saturday in Philadelphia to open the Ivy League season.
The Tigers, Ivy League champions a year ago after a 7-0 league season, won their eighth straight league match and defeated Penn for a seventh straight time.
Lindsay Graff, Alanna Wolff and Amanda Muliawan were all winners in both singles and doubles as Princeton took the doubles point before getting singles wins from that trio plus Katrine Steffensen and Caroline Joyce. Muliawan's, Steffensen's and Joyce's wins all came in straight sets.
Princeton will host Brown and Yale next Friday and Saturday in the team's first Ivy League home matches of the season.
