Katrine Steffensen was named ECAC Division I Metro/Upstate Rookie of the Week for women's tennis after she claimed a straight-set win at fourth singles while her match at third doubles was called after Princeton had already clinched the point. Fifty-sixth-ranked Princeton will host Brown and Yale Friday and Saturday.
Diego Vives was named the ECAC Division I Metro/Upstate Rookie of the Week for men's tennis after supplying the clinching point at fifth singles as part of Princeton's 6-1 win over Penn to open the league slate. Vives and the 27th-ranked Tigers will head to Brown and Yale Saturday and Sunday.
Jordan Lippetz shared Division I Women's Golfer of the Month with Krissy Unger of Towson, and Caroline Araskog was named Division I Rookie of the Month for women's golf. Lippetz shared medalist honors at Princeton's only tournament of the fall so far, winning the Low Country Intercollegiate at Hilton Head, S.C. at +2. Araskog figured into Princeton's team-title winning total as the Tigers' fourth scorer. Princeton will play next at the Pirate Invitational hosted by Seton Hall at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. Thursday and Friday.
Michael Davis was the Division I Rookie of the Month for men's golf after leading Princeton at both of the team's spring events so far, the Southern Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia and The Goodwin at Stanford. Davis's higher overall finish of the two was at Georgia, where he tied for 10th overall. Princeton will play next at the Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M Saturday and Sunday.
