Slifer Earns Third Ivy League Player of the Week Honor This Season

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/13/15) - Senior midfielder Erin Slifer was named the IVy League Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 12. It is her third weekly honor of the 2015 season.
Slifer had an 11-point week for the Tigers as they faced No. 1 Maryland and Cornell on the road. Slifer scored six goals and assisted on five others. She added three ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw. At Maryland on Wednesday, she led the team with six points as the Tigers became the first team in the nation to lead the Terrapins at halftime. Slifer scored twice and had four assists, with two ground balls, a draw and a caused turnover. On Saturday in a 13-11 win at Cornell, which entered the game in the receiving votes category of the IWLCA national poll, Slifer scored four goals and added one assist, one ground ball and one caused turnover.
Slifer earns her third Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season (Feb. 23, March 23) and fifth of her career. She is the fourth Tiger in program history to receive at least five Player of the Week awards, joining Cristi Samaras (6), Erin Tochihara (6) and Erin O'Neil (5).
