April 16 TigerCast: Will Siroky & Lisa Van Ackeren
April 16, 2015 | General, Men's Volleyball, Softball
With crucial league weekends upcoming for both, volleyball standout Will Siroky and softball head coach Lisa Van Ackeren are guests on the latest edition of TigerCast.
Siroky is a four-year starter for the men's volleyball team, and he helped the Tigers both end a 35-match losing streak to Penn State and reach the EIVA championship last season. He would love to match both those efforts this season, starting Friday night when the seventh-ranked Nittany Lions return to Dillon Gym. He looks at both last season's victory and the upcoming weekend, which also includes a potentially crucial Saturday night match with Saint Francis.
Van Ackeren is in her third season as the Princeton head coach, and she will lead the Tigers to Philadelphia this weekend for a four-game series at Penn. The Quakers have been the dominat team in the division recently, but Princeton has won four straight Ivy League games and can take a major step towards the championship series this weekend. Van Ackeren discusses that rivalry and the importance of her own ace, Shanna Christian.
TigerCast, presented by PNC Bank, is the official podcast of Princeton Athletics. Previous episodes of TigerCast can be downloaded for free anytime at GoPrincetonTigers.com.
