2015 COMPLETE SCHEDULE
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University sprint football team has announced its 2015 schedule, comprised of five regular season contests and a pair of exhibition games.
The Tigers will open the season on Sept. 13 with an Alumni Game at Princeton Stadium. Princeton then heads to Philadelphia, Pa. on Sept. 19 to face Chestnut Hill in the squad's first Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) tilt. Becoming the ninth member of the CSFL, the Griffins will call Plymouth Whitemarsh High School home during their inaugural season.
The Orange and Black return home on Sept. 25 to face Army before taking part in an intersquad scrimmage on Oct. 3. After a week off, the Tigers will travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to play Cornell on Oct. 16.
Following another bye week, Princeton will take on Penn (Oct. 30) before closing out its campaign with a second match-up against Chestnut Hill on Nov. 6.
The 2015 season will be the second for head coach Sean Morey. A 1999 graduate of Brown, Morey was the Ivy League's Rookie of the Year in 1995 and the conference's Player of the Year in 1997. A three-time first-team All-Ivy and All-New England selection, he twice garnered All-America honors.
Drafted in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, Morey eventually landed with the Pittsburgh Steelers after a stop with the Philadelphia Eagles, serving as a special teams captain during the team's Super Bowl run in 2006. The following season, Morey joined Arizona Cardinals where he made a Pro Bowl and second Super Bowl appearance.
In his first season with the Tigers, Morey helped develop seven All-CSFL selections. Three Tigers garnered second team offense and defense accolades, while four Princeton student-athletes were recognized on the honorable mention squads.
