No. 11 Men's Water Polo Improves to 3-0 With 15-6 Win Over Gannon

PRINCETON, N.J. – The 11th-ranked Princeton University men's water polo team improved to 3-0 on the season and closed out play at the Navy Invitational with a 15-6 victory over Gannon.
Scoring early and often, the Tigers accounted for seven of the game's first nine goals en route to a 10-4 halftime advantage. Princeton tacked on two goals in the third before battling Gannon to a 2-2 draw over the final eight minutes.
Eric Bowen paced the Tigers with four goals on four shots, while Jordan Colina turned in a hat-trick. Thomas Nelson and Bret Hinrichs each netted a pair of scores, while Michael Swart, Jovan Jeremic, Matt Payne, and Ryan Hammarskjold also got on the board.
Jamie Kuprenas led the team with three assists, while Hammarsjold had a pair of helpers. Hinrichs and Bradley Wachtell each finished with three steals, while Bowen drew a team-high three ejections.
Making his first career start, Melosini recorded 12 saves. Turning away six shots in the first half, Melosini had three saves in the third period before tacking on three more in the final frame.
