Markovich Paces Princeton to Victory at Paul Short

Senior Ally Markovich led the Princeton pack for the second straight meet as the Tigers handedly won the Paul Short Run on Saturday, Oct. 1
The Tigers put up a score of 44, the only team in double digits and had its top three scorers in the top 10 and its other four runners all in the top 15.
Markovich covered the 6k course in 20:57. Sophomore Brighie Leach, one of the team's consistent scorers from 2015 competed in her first race of the season and ran 21:11 for seventh place. Junior Melinda Renuart was one second back for eighth. Sophomore Alie Fordyce and freshman Ally Rome were the final two scorers at 21:25 and 21:28, respectively. Freshman Rachel Granovsky was one second out of taking a scoring spot at 21:29 while junior Melissa Reed posted a time of 21:31.
Taking second in the team scoring was Queens with 179 points followed by Bucknell with 195.
Princeton will travel to the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, Oct. 14 and host the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15.
