Véronneau and Phinney Earn ECAC Honors

Princeton's Max Véronneau was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and Colton Phinney was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week, as the Tigers claimed two of three weekly honors.
For the second consecutive week, Véronneau led the nation in scoring with six points. Not only did he score two goals and earn four assists but they came against the No. 7 ranked-team Quinnipiac as Princeton posted a sweep of its travel partner. Véronneau finished with a +5 on-ice rating. On Friday night in a 5-3 win at Hobey Baker Rink, Véronneau assisted on three goals. On Saturday he scored twice and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 4-1 win in Hamden.
Phinney was in net for both games, making 66 saves. Along with his 2-0 record this weekend he finished with a .943 save percentage. Phinney made 33 saves in each game as Princeton defeated Quinnipiac 5-3 at home and 4-1 on the road. It marked the first time Princeton swept Quinnipiac since 2008.
