Cressey Named GoPrincetonTigers Athlete of the Week

Freshman Jackson Cressey of the Princeton men's hockey team was named the GoPrincetonTigers Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA for the week ending Dec. 18.
Cressey led the nation in scoring with five points this past week as the Tigers closed out the calendar year going 2-1, with another win over a ranked squad. On Tuesday in a win over Massachusetts Cressey had two assists as Princeton rallied from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3. Friday night he added another assist on the team's sixth goal in a 6-1 victory over No. 19 Minnesota State. Trailing 2-0 on Saturday, Cressey scored the Tigers' first goal and assisted on the fourth as the Tigers made it a 4-4 game with a four-goal second period, before falling 5-4.
The Tigers five-game win streak is the longest win streak since the 2010-11 season. Princeton has won seven of its last nine games and is now 7-8-1 overall.
Princeton will take a break for the holidays and resume action on Friday, Jan. 6 at Dartmouth.
