Feb. 4 TigerCast Previews Ivy Fencing with Gracie Stone, Jack Hudson
February 04, 2016 | General, Men's Fencing, Women's Fencing
Before they compete for Ivy League championships during their seniors seasons, former All-America standouts Gracie Stone and Jack Hudson joined this week's edition of TigerCast.
Stone was a member of the 2013 Princeton team that won the NCAA Championship, and she did so with siblings Eliza and Robert on the team. Now a senior, she is hoping to push the third-ranked women back to the top of the podium. Stone reflects back on the family run to the 2013 national title, and how motivated her team is this season as the hunter, not the hunted.
Hudson, who reached the NCAA championship final, is also looking for a senior Ivy championship, and his team will face each of the three higher-seeded teams during Saturday's portion of the Round-Robin event. He talks about the importance of team motivation during a weekend like this one, and how open the field appears to be.
