March 28, 2016 | Women's Lacrosse
PRINCETON, N.J. (3/28/16) - Junior goalie Ellie DeGarmo was named the Ivy League Women's Lacrosse co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 27.
DeGarmo stopped a career-high 14 shots in a 6-5 win at Harvard on Saturday. She limited the Crimson to just five goals, more than seven fewer than they averaged entering the weekend at 12.8 gpg. A honoree on the Tewaaraton Trophy watch list, DeGarmo also collected two ground balls to keep Princeton unbeaten in the Ivy League at 2-0 as the No. 11 ranked Tigers improve to 5-2.
This is DeGarmo's second player of the week honor of the season. She shares the honor with Dartmouth's Jaclyn Leto after the Big Green defeated Penn 10-9 on Sunday.
Princeton continues a five-game road swing on Wednesday, March 30 when it travels to Loyola for a 7 p.m., tilt.
