March 05, 2016 | Men's Volleyball
BOX SCORE
Junior Kurt Thiemann recorded 10 kills, while outsides Corry Short and Kendall ratter each added six apiece, but those would not be enough to hold off a driven McKendree team Friday night in a 3-0 win for the Bobcats.
Playing without All-East outside Devin Stearns, the Tigers pushed McKendree in three tight sets, but they couldn't manage to take one. The Bobcats moved to 4-6 with the 25-22, 25-20, 25-21 win.
Thiemann came off the bench to lead Princeton with 10 kills, and he added three digs and a block. Sophomore middle Billy Andrew had four kills and six blocks, while Trey Sickler added three kills and two blocks.
Juniors Chris Kennedy (15) and Jonah May (13) combined for 28 assists, while senior Michael Bagnell led the defense with seven digs.
Princeton will return to the court tomorrow night for a crucial EIVA home match against George Mason. The match will be streamed on the Ivy League Digital Network.
