DeGarmo Named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/18/16) - Junior goalie Ellie DeGarmo was named the Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 17. This is her third defensive player of the week honor this season.
DeGarmo was instrumental in the Tigers' 8-7 win over No. 20 Cornell, recording a career-high 16 saves in the victory. She helped Princeton's defense limit the Big Red to seven goals, matching its lowest offensive output this season. DeGarmo recorded nine saves in the second half, including one with 16 seconds remaining to help preserve the win.
A native of Baltimore, Md., DeGarmo finished the week with 29 saves and a .569 save percentage after facing No. 1 Maryland on Wednesday. She currently leads the nation in save percentage at .561.
No. 10 Princeton hosts No. 17 Penn in the regular-season home finale on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m.
