Princeton Seated No. 13 in IWLCA Preseason Poll

The Princeton women's lacrosse team is ranked No. 13 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association preseason poll, it was announced by the organization today.

The ranking comes on the heels of last week's announcement by Inside Lacrosse of Ellie DeGarmo, Olivia Hompe and Amanda Leavell earning preseason All-America honors.

In 2016, Princeton won its 12th Ivy League title overall and third straight. With an 11-6 record the Tigers earned an at-large bid the NCAA Tournament, its 24th appearance in program history. DeGarmo and Hompe were both Tewaaraton Trophy top-25 nominees, while DeGarmo was named the nation's top goalie with the C. Markland Kelly Trophy. Princeton was ranked No. 18 in the final IWLCA poll of 2016.

With the addition of seven freshmen and international experience under its belt, the Tigers are primed for the 2017. The season gets underway on Friday, Feb. 18 hosting Temple.
